105 Distillations in 94 Days!

Roots, tree leaves, bush, flowers – we had some disappointing failures (no oil!), and some thrilling bounty (more oil than ever before from a plant, as we learn how best to prepare it for distillation).  This summer was full of challenges, learning, fun and stress.  Biggest lesson learned: we need an electric clipper/shredder so badly!  Cutting leaves with scissors and clippers by hand is a nightmare.  But the summer interns were there with us every step of the way, and deserve every drop of the oil they brought home with them, and more.  Again, thank you!

    Hi Agape,
I was researching the best way to preserve some of the vegies and herbs from my garden and I consistently read that with many types of plants, as long as the stems attached to the leaves are supple and not at all woody, these shoots often contain as much as or more oils than the leaves themselves. this could save some labor and boost your yield.
Looking so forward to seeing all of you and having sufficient time to learn from you and sharing some of my knowledge.
    Love to all.
    Sean
