After the hurricane, once we’d cleaned up all the rubbish and rubble, we looked around and realized that we lived in a totally different yard! We had so many fewer trees. We’d probably lost around 80% of our trees, which means that we’ll have 80% less fruit! Hmmm… Although we were trying to have a positive outlook post-Hurricane Sandy, that was a hard fact to swallow! Fewer trees means more sun. More sun means more sea views, lawn, flowers and garden space. All of that equals a potentially more beautiful yard. Forcing ourselves to have a positive outlook again, we are definitely looking forward to grooming this new yard. If you come to stay with us, remember that more sun also means that you need more sunscreen. So, come prepared!
